The Tiger Stripe Mini Ruck is a true one-off, handcrafted in Montana and inspired by the legendary gear carried by America’s special operators. It’s the kind of pattern our founder, Jim Markel Sr., wore while running missions as a Green Beret and MACV-SOG operator in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. Later, as a Reconnaissance Marine, Jim Sr. brought those lessons home and built Red Oxx on a foundation of grit, loyalty, and the belief that real gear means something.

Tiger Stripe camo is more than history—it’s a mark of courage, brotherhood, and surviving the hardest days together. This Mini Ruck carries that legacy forward, scaled for today but honoring the sacrifices of yesterday.

Penny the Poodle, our shop mascot and a former Dog Tag Buddy herself, is proud to donate this Mini Ruck to support veterans and rescue pups starting new chapters together. All proceeds will benefit Dog Tag Buddies, helping pair veterans with canine companions who change lives.
